SEN Evidence Tracker Privacy Policy

Plain-English privacy information for the SEN Evidence Tracker app.

On this page

Effective date: 23 July 2026

Pre-release notice: SEN Evidence Tracker is not yet available on the App Store. The final app build, entitlements and App Store privacy answers were not available when this page was prepared. The intended arrangements are explained below and will be checked and updated before release.

About this policy

SEN Evidence Tracker is designed to help parents and carers organise information for SEN-related meetings, assessments, EHCP reviews and support discussions. This policy explains the information involved and the difference between app records, Apple services and information Steady Neuro can access.

Information you enter into the app

Depending on the features included in the final release, you may choose to enter:

  • Names or labels used to organise records
  • Dates, times, frequency and duration
  • Concerns, support needs and impact
  • Examples of events and positive progress
  • Notes and other supporting evidence you add
  • Information selected for summaries and reports

You decide what to record. Avoid adding information that is not needed for your purpose.

Where app data is intended to be stored

The intended design is for records to be stored on your device and, when iCloud is available and enabled, in your private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit service so they can sync between your Apple devices.

This storage and sync behaviour still needs to be confirmed against the final release build and entitlements. Until that check is complete, do not rely on this page as confirmation that a particular record has synced or been backed up.

Accounts, servers and access by Steady Neuro

The intended release does not require a separate Steady Neuro user account or use a Steady Neuro server to store the evidence records you enter.

Apple and iCloud

When iCloud or CloudKit is used, Apple processes the information needed to provide storage and syncing under your Apple account and settings. Apple may also process technical information for App Store distribution, iCloud operation, security, diagnostics and other system services.

Apple's processing is governed by its own policies. You can read Apple's privacy information.

Analytics, diagnostics and crash reports

No final claim about analytics, third-party diagnostics or crash-reporting tools can be made until the release dependencies and App Store configuration have been checked.

Apple may make diagnostic or crash information available to developers depending on your device privacy settings. The final version of this policy will state exactly which tools are present and what Steady Neuro can receive.

Advertising and sale of data

The app is not intended to contain advertising, sell the evidence you enter, or use it to build advertising profiles. These points will be confirmed against the final release configuration before launch.

PDF exports and files you create

The app is intended to let you generate readable summaries and detailed PDF reports. A report is created from information you choose. It is not automatically sent to Steady Neuro, a school, a local authority or another organisation.

After you save, print or share a PDF, it becomes a separate file. You are responsible for where it is stored, who receives it and who can access it. Check the report carefully before sharing it.

Deleting information

The final app is intended to let you delete records within the app. If iCloud sync is enabled, deleting the app from one device may not remove data already held in iCloud or on another device.

Exported PDFs must be deleted separately from every location where you saved or shared them. The precise in-app deletion controls and iCloud deletion behaviour will be verified before release.

Children's information

The app is intended for use by parents and carers, not for children to manage independently. SEN records may contain sensitive or identifying information about a child.

  • Use initials, a first name or a non-identifying label where practical.
  • Do not record unnecessary medical, school or identifying details.
  • Only share reports with people who genuinely need the information.
  • Delete records and exported files when they are no longer needed.

Data security

Keep your device, Apple ID and passcode secure. No storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Take particular care when saving or sharing reports outside the app, because access then depends on the destination you choose.

What Steady Neuro can directly access

Steady Neuro can directly access information you choose to send in a support email. Please do not email evidence records, PDFs, or sensitive personal, medical, school or identifying information about a child.

Any additional developer access through the final app or Apple services will be described here after release verification.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the final release configuration is confirmed or when the app's features and data handling change. The latest version will remain available on this page, with a revised effective date where appropriate.
